Our Style of Singing

BBC R3 Choir of the Year

The Great Western Chorus of Bristol sings unaccompanied four-part close harmony.  With its roots in Barbershop, our style of "a cappella" singing differs from traditional male voice or mixed choirs by using more unusual chord structures and by placing the highest harmony part above the melody line.

In addition, we focus on entertainment.  By taking well known songs and applying our visual presentation, we give our audience a performance they won't forget.
